About Us
Who We Are
Fusion Power PAC is a bipartisan political action committee with a single goal: American leadership in fusion energy. Fusion is finally within reach, and the decisions made in Washington over the next decade will shape how quickly it arrives. We back members of Congress from both parties who do the unglamorous work fusion needs done: defending research budgets, fixing licensing rules, and helping a young industry put down roots in the United States.
Why Fusion
The Case for Action
Fusion is the reaction that powers the sun. Its fuel is drawn from seawater, it produces no carbon and no long-lived waste, and it cannot melt down. Seven decades of publicly funded research, beginning with Project Sherwood in 1951, built the science; a wave of private companies is now working to put it on the grid. What stands between here and there is no longer just physics. Research budgets, licensing frameworks, and supply chains get decided in Washington. That is where we work.
